About B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication

The Department of Journalism and mass communication Vidhyadeep Institute of liberal arts (VILA) was established in the year 2024 with 30 intake capacity.

Journalism and mass communication is a branch of arts that encompasses the fields of print media, electronic media (radio & television), cinema, advertising, public relations, new media, social media, production of blogs, content creation, voice over, RJ ying , editing, cinematography, photography, creative writing for inform , entertain, educate and development of society etc.

Admission 2025-26

Course Duration: 4 Years

Intake: 30

Eligibility: Passed HSC (12th) examination in any stream/subject from Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board or any recognized board are eligible for admission into this program.

Admission Procedure: Merit list will be prepared as per the marks obtained in the 12th examinations of the students.

Mission 1: To act as a platform to promote talent, creativity, thoughtfulness and entrepreneurship in various fields of mass media.
Mission 2: To provide platform to media aspirants where they can meet opportunity and their requirement. To arrange various expert lectures by field experts and seminars to raise thinking of students out of the box.
Mission 3: To educate young media aspirants through regularly updated according to market demand in field Work as well as academics.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO-1: Provide solid foundation in basic principles of mass media with understanding of society and its historic development.

ENTERTAINMENT: To provide such healthy entertainment to the society which preserves the local traditions of the society, their cultural identity, enriches them with science and technology and prepares them to keep up with the modern world.

We have highly qualified, fully fledged and experienced faculties. We also impart internship to all students. To develop whole personality of students by giving knowledge with practical work production and field visits, internship in various media organization, study tour to get exposer on large scale media platform is a part of our curriculum.
